He received his bachelor’s degree from Karadeniz Technical University in 1998, his master’s degree from Gebze Technical University in 2000, and his Ph.D. from Gazi University in 2010. He worked on defense and space projects at Istanbul Ulaşım AŞ, TÜBİTAK SAGE, and TÜBİTAK UZAY. He became an associate professor in 2017. His areas of expertise include optical communications, modulation techniques, and infrared sensors. He is fluent in English and has intermediate proficiency in Russian.
